    the-most-sublime-fool:

Then, too, at sea—to use a homely but expressive phrase—you miss a man so much. A dozen men are shut up together in a little bark, upon the wide, wide sea, and for months and months see no forms and hear no voices but their own, and one is taken suddenly from among them, and they miss him at every turn. It is like losing a limb. There are no new faces or new scenes to fill up the gap. There is always an empty berth in the forecastle, and one man wanting when the small night watch is mustered. There is one less to take up the wheel, and one less to lay out with you upon the yard. You miss his form, and the sound of his voice, for habit had made them almost necessary to you, and each of your senses feels the loss.

—a sailor’s diary entry, on losing a shipmate, ca. 1834 (from Two Years Before the Mast by Richard Henry Dana Jr.)

Spell to make you feel the weight of your actions on your shoulders.

This spell doesn’t really fit under the category of curse due the fact that we are simply making someone reflect on their BAD actions. If you simply want to take revenge on someone for something they did and you perform this spell, it would be a curse. I clarified this as I know many people are against cursing.

    • Jar
    • Stones
    • Pen and paper
    • Chilli pepper (booster)
    • Black Pepper (extra kick)
    • Judgement tarot card (optional)
    • Justice tarot card (optional)
    • Sigil (optional)
    • Candle

Start the spell by cleaning your space and your ingredients with the method you prefer, I use palo santo. Then if you wish you can invoke the circle, your deity, ancestors, spiritual guide etc.

Once you have created an atmosphere to start with the spell, take the pen and paper and write the name of that person to use it as a taglock, in case you prefer or don’t know the name of the person you can use an image, description, something related to that person, hair etc.

Now it’s time to vent, start writing a request to whoever you want so that the weight of that person’s actions falls on their shoulders, you can write as much as you want, here I decided to include a list of all the actions that I wanted that person to reflect on.

Once the request is written you can dress it with some essential oil, place it on the lid of your bottle (I used tape). Now take each of the stones and charge them with all your energy, if you feel anger, anguish, fear, disappointment, it would be good to pour all that energy into the stones so that person feels exactly what you feel. Once you have finished, add a pinch of chili or black pepper to the jar.

Now take your time to continue charging the jar with your energy before sealing it. When you’re done, put the lid on and seal it with candle wax. Take the bottle and while you say the next spell, turn it over so all the stones fall on the name of that person.

“The pain you caused me now is your own. Justice is here, I’m not alone”.

(Feel free to change the words for the ones you feel appropriate. Remember that a spell doesn’t necessarily have to be verbal).

Now simply keep the jar in some dark place for as long as you think necessary, and when you see that person has finally reflected, release it by cleaning the rocks with water and returning them to nature.
